"Like virtually all of the posters Cheret did for the dances at this theatre between 1892 and 1897, the design features a profiled woman in a billowing dress looking out over her shoulder as a shadowy male figure and other revellers dance around her. Cheret would do a single design each winter and it would be repeated with varying text throughout the season. For 1896, the charmer's dress is striped in two shades of green and she gestures to her escort with a fan… Cheret, reworking the same visual ingredients always keeps us interested" (Rennert, PAI-XXXI 393)
