The "Nouveau Salon des Cent" portfolio consists of a hundred posters created by one hundred of the best graphic designers of our time, from 24 different countries including China, Japan, Mexico, Brazil, Zimbabwe, the United-States and most of the European countries, as a tribute to Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, for the Centenary of his death, 1901-2001. Initiated by the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum Partners' Club. In cooperation with the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum of Albi. The printing was limited to only 380. The posters have been exhibited in major museums and galleries around the world.

 

The Designer - Ruedi Kulling

 

Date of birth: February 4, 1935. Lives and works in Zurich-Gockhausen. Education as graphic designer, Kunstgewerbeschule Zurich. Graphic designer and art director in Milan with Franco Grignani, in Zurich with Victor N. Cohen, in London with Mather & Crowther and in Chicago with Leo Burnett.

 

Becomes creative director of the advertising company Advico in Zurich-Gockhausen. Becomes co-owner of Advico. Foundation of Kulling+Partner Identity. Foundation of Xemex Swiss Watch together with Hanspeter Hanschick.

 

Awards

 

17 awards of 'One of the 20 best posters of the year' from the Swiss Government. Poster Biennale Warsaw, Poland: 1 gold palm, 1 silver palm, and 4 diplomas. 12th International Advertising Film Festival Cannes, France: international first prize.

 

4 first prizes Olma poster competition. Montreal: first international prize for a poster of the agriculture fair Olma. For Xemex Swiss Watch 'Montre passion': prix du public. Design Centre Nordrein Westfalen red point prize for 'High Design Quality'. ADC Switzerland silver category Product and Package Design. 'Chronos Europe' design innovation 2000 (1st place). 'Watch Times USA' watch of the year 2001 (1st place).
