Collection: Henri Jules Guinier (French 1867-1927)
Guinier was an excellent pastellist and colorist and painted many portraits, mostly of women.
"More than landscapes and seascapes, Guinier, a portrait painter, in Brittany attached himself to the human figure, observed in the activities of daily life. Cornouaille Finistérienne but also Le-Faouët were the places of inspiration for a large number of his paintings, pastels and watercolors, as evidenced by his annual submissions to the Salons."
