The SV4 was the
mainstay of aerobatics competitions until the 1960s, when the
performance
of Pitts Specials left the Stampe SV4 behind. - First test
flight by Jean Stampe (1889-1978) himself, January 6th 1949
- Delivered
to the Belgian Airforce in 1949, purchased by current owner in 1979
- Restoration
completed 1992
- flown weekly during summer months, always
hangered.
