"This poster advertised the illustrated art review titled 'L'Aube' (The Dawn), which started publishing in May of 1896. It is early dawn and two dramatic rays of light from the street lamp reveal a driver muffled against the morning's damp chill, as a beleaguered peasant woman pushes a dustcart along a steep street. Lautrec conveys a wonderful light and atmosphere through the same splattered turquoise ink as he employed in Le Tocsin" (San Diego Museum of Art)

During the 1960s the renowned French printer, Mourlot Freres, printed this superb series "Les Affiches de Toulouse-Lautrec" for collectors.
