Willette's elegant vertical poster of a traditional Dutch girl in national dress
presenting us with Van Houten's cocoa (hot chocolate), set against a wonderful
background of gilded leaves. It is both direct and effective in it's design. "Willette
(was) a successful painter who in 1887 switched to drawing, lithography and poster
design. He became a frequent contributor to satirical publications such as 'Le
Rire'
