Advertising Felicien Champsaur's "Entrance of a Female Clown".
Lucas, in his typical understated way, shows an alluring, elegantly
dressed, red-haired lady clown, with presumably her stage name "Lu-Lu"
written on her softly rendered dress. A background of vibrant orange
that blends into a very striking yellow contrast with the grays of
her dress, creating an effective image. |
