The Portfolio
The "Nouveau Salon des Cent" portfolio consists of a
hundred posters created by one hundred of the best graphic designers
of our
time, from 24 different countries including China, Japan, Mexico,
Brazil, Zimbabwe, the United-States and most of the European countries,
as a tribute to Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, for the Centenary of
his
death, 1901-2001. Initiated by the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum Partners'
Club. In cooperation with the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum of Albi.
The
printing was limited to only 380. The posters have been exhibited
in major museums and galleries around the world. View

The Designer - Kijuro Yahagi
Born
in Higashine City, Yamagata Prefecture in 1952. Carrying out graphic
design, editorial design, sign design, photography, fine art, architecture,
criticism and publishing. Except for design activity, participated
in
'Asian Art Biennale, Bangladesh' ('93) and 'One Aspect of Contemporary
Japanese Design' ('94) at the National Museum of Contemporary Art,
Korea as an artist. In 2002, solo exhibition is expected at CCGA
(Center for Contemporary Graphic Art) in Fukushima Prefecture.
As a photographer, achieved 'VISIONS OF JAPAN' ('91), which has
awarded the Silver prize at The Art Directors Club in New York
and the Bronze prize at the International Biennale of Graphic Design
Brno, 'HIDDEN JAPAN' ('93), which was included in the permanent
collection of the Museum of Modern Art, New York, a photograph
collection titled 'TURKANA' ('98), architecture calendar and book
for FH 'Figurative Horizon', and one-man photography exhibition
at Contax Gallery in 1995. Overseas travelling exhibition featuring
'HIDDEN JAPAN' has been held in Europe and some other countries
over a period of several years. Started doing architecture in 1994,
and realized Residential House 'La Terrasse Tricolore' in 1995
and Private House 'La Terrasse Sept Carres' in 1998, 'House in
Horiuchi' in 2000.
