The Portfolio
The "Nouveau Salon des Cent" portfolio consists of a
hundred posters created by one hundred of the best graphic designers
of our
time, from 24 different countries including China, Japan, Mexico,
Brazil, Zimbabwe, the United-States and most of the European countries,
as a tribute to Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, for the Centenary of
his
death, 1901-2001. Initiated by the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum Partners'
Club. In cooperation with the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum of Albi.
The
printing was limited to only 380. The posters have been exhibited
in major museums and galleries around the world.

The Designer - Michael Schwab
Originally
from Oklahoma, Michael Schwab lives in Marin County, California,
where he has established his studio to become one of the leading
graphic artists in the United States.
He has created national award winning brands, corporate identities
and posters for many clients including Apple, Levi's, Coke, Nike,
Polo, Pebble Beach, Robert Mondavi, The National Parks, The U.S.
Department of the Interior, Sundance, Wells Fargo and The San Francisco
Opera.
Michael's work is known for its large, fiat areas of colour, dramatic
perspectives, and bold, graphic images of archetypal people.
His work is eye-catching in its simplicity.
After graduating from L.A.'s Art Center College of Design, Michael
moved to Marin County in northern California where he and his wife,
photographer Kathryn Kleinman, and their two sons now live. Michael
Schwab is now winning awards in every major graphic design and
illustration show, and is being featured in publications worldwide.
He is currently creating the official graphics for the Salt Lake
Olympic Winter Games of 2002.
