The Portfolio
The "Nouveau Salon des Cent" portfolio consists of a
hundred posters created by one hundred of the best graphic designers
of our
time, from 24 different countries including China, Japan, Mexico,
Brazil, Zimbabwe, the United-States and most of the European countries,
as a tribute to Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, for the Centenary of
his
death, 1901-2001. Initiated by the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum Partners'
Club. In cooperation with the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum of Albi.
The
printing was limited to only 380. The posters have been exhibited
in major museums and galleries around the world. View

The Designer - Peter Pocs
He was born on the 14th September, 1950 in Pecs, Hungary and graduated
from the Fine Arts College in Pecs in 1971 obtaining a Gold and
Silversmith Designer degree.
He has been working as a graphic designer from 1972 preparing
mainly cultural (theatre, exhibition, festival) posters and from
1989 also political and social posters.
His spiritual masters are: Henryk Tomaszewski, Waldemar Swierzy
and Gyorgy Konecsni. His only commercial customer is Tamas T. Nagy
- cheese importer.
His plastic (sculpture) posters can be easily recognized from
the unique way in which he shapes salt paste or clay that is later
painted and photographed.
He is a regular participant of international invitational poster
symposiums (Hommage a Max Ponti, International Litfass-kunst Biennale,
13 + Lautrec, Communication 2000, Hungarian Millennium).
He regularly takes part in international exhibitions, biennales
and triennials with his works.
He is founding member of the artistic group D.O.P.P., established
in 1987.
He has established a one person workshop, POSTER'V Design Studio
in 1991. |
