The Portfolio
The "Nouveau Salon des Cent" portfolio consists of a
hundred posters created by one hundred of the best graphic designers
of our
time, from 24 different countries including China, Japan, Mexico,
Brazil, Zimbabwe, the United-States and most of the European countries,
as a tribute to Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, for the Centenary of
his
death, 1901-2001. Initiated by the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum Partners'
Club. In cooperation with the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum of Albi.
The
printing was limited to only 380. The posters have been exhibited
in major museums and galleries around the world. View

The Designer - Bob Gill
Bob Gill is a designer, an illustrator, a copywriter, and a teacher.
After freelancing in New York, he went to London on a whim in 1960
and stayed 15 years. He started Fletcher/ Forbes/Gill which was
later renamed Pentagram.
He returned to New York in 1975 to write and design Beatlemania,
the largest multi-media musical up to that time on Broadway. Gill
still works independently and still teaches. He's had one-man shows
in Europe, South America, the Far East and in the US.
He was elected to the New York Art Directors Club Hall of Fame
in 1991 and the Designers and Art Directors Association of London
recently presented him with their Lifetime Achievement Award. He
lives in New York with his wife, New York Public Radio's Sara Fishko,
their son Jack, and their daughter Kate. His latest book is Unspecial
Effects for Graphic Designers published by Graphis. |
