The "Nouveau Salon des Cent" portfolio consists of a
hundred posters created by one hundred of the best graphic designers
time, from 24 different countries including China, Japan, Mexico,
Brazil, Zimbabwe, the United-States and most of the European countries,
as a tribute to Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, for the Centenary of
death, 1901-2001. Initiated by the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum Partners'
Club. In cooperation with the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum of Albi.
printing was limited to only 380. The posters have been exhibited
in major museums and galleries around the world.

The Designer - Karl Dominic Geissbuhler
in Winterthur ZH on November 15,1932. Lives in Zurich. Trained
as a graphic artist with Ernst Keller and Johannes Itten at the
Kunstgewerbeschule in Zurich. After receiving an award from the
city of Zurich, he completed his studies at the Kunsthochschule
in Berlin and subsequently became the art director of an international
active advertising agency. His work as a freelance graphic artist
is well know through his poster for British Airways and the Zurich
Opera House, for whom he has designed over 150 posters since 1976.
In 1981 he created the stage design for the Zurich Opera House's
production of the ballet 'Der Narziss' as part of the June Festival
of Music and Theatre, and in 1983 he designed the decor for 'Transfiqurated
Night' in Basle and New York. Recipient of numerous international
awards including the Toulouse-Lautrec medal of the poster Triennial
in Essen in 1987, and the grand poster prize of the Biennale in
Lahti, Finland, 1988, gold and silver medals of the Arts Directors
Club of New York, bronze medal at the Poster Triennial in Toyama,
Japan, 1990, special award for opera house posters in Chaumont,
France. One-man show's in Zurich, Toronto, New York, Tokyo, Puebla
and Sydney. Member of the AGI, the Art Directors Club of Switzerland
and the American Institute of Graphic Arts. He has lectured at
the Schule fur Gelstaltung in Basle since 1997.
