The Portfolio
The "Nouveau Salon des Cent" portfolio consists of a
hundred posters created by one hundred of the best graphic designers
of our
time, from 24 different countries including China, Japan, Mexico,
Brazil, Zimbabwe, the United-States and most of the European countries,
as a tribute to Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, for the Centenary of
his
death, 1901-2001. Initiated by the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum Partners'
Club. In cooperation with the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum of Albi.
The
printing was limited to only 380. The posters have been exhibited
in major museums and galleries around the world. View

The Designer - Rafic Jorge Farah
Graduated
from FAU-USP (University of Sao Paulo) in 1976. Professional art
director and graphic designer since 1980, he runs his own studio.
In the 80's he was responsible for the coverarts of Around magazine
et in the 90's for the graphic project
of Trip magazine.
His best award came in 1993 for the world's best ecological poster
(Ekoplagat).
In Sao Paulo's streets lots of his logomarks can be seen. International
Expositions: Tel Aviv, Paris, Rome, Caracas, Frankfurt. In October
2001 he will represent Brazil in 'Graphistes autour du monde'. |
