The Portfolio
The "Nouveau Salon des Cent" portfolio consists of a
hundred posters created by one hundred of the best graphic designers
of our
time, from 24 different countries including China, Japan, Mexico,
Brazil, Zimbabwe, the United-States and most of the European countries,
as a tribute to Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, for the Centenary of
his
death, 1901-2001. Initiated by the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum Partners'
Club. In cooperation with the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum of Albi.
The
printing was limited to only 380. The posters have been exhibited
in major museums and galleries around the world. View

The Designer - Kenneth Cato
Date
of birth 30.12.46 Australia.
Ken Cato is the Director of Education of Alliance Graphique Internationale,
a member of the American Institute of Graphic Art, Icograda,
Type Directors Club New York, Australian Type Directors Club, Australian
Writers and Art Directors Association, Adelaide Type Directors
Club, Industrial Design Council of Australia, The Australian
Academy
of Design, and the Young Presidents' Organisation. He is an Honorary
Fellow of both the Design Institute of Australia, the Australian
Marketing Institute, a Board Member of the Australian Centre
for American Studies and The Museum of Modern Art at Heide, as
well
as having been invited to be the only international honorary
member of the Russian Academy of Graphic Design.
In 1995 Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, conferred
on Ken Cato the honorary degree of Doctor of Design (Hon.D.Des). |
