Albert Emile Artigue The painter and lithographer Albert Émile
Artigue is sometimes listed as Émile-Albert Artigue. Artigue was born
in Buenos Aires, to French parents. He was a pupil of Cabanel and
Douard. Artigue exhibited regularly with the Salon de Paris and the
Salon des Artistes Français. As an elderly man, Albert Artigue encouraged
the young Jules Cavaillès. (Idbury Prints)
