The painter and lithographer Maurice Eliot was born in Paris. Eliot first studied in the atelier of Émile Bin, where he met Signac and Henri Rivière. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français, and was a founder member of the Salon d'Automne. Maurice Eliot was the brother of the writer and artist Jeanne Eliot. Maurice Eliot was highly regarded as a lithographer, but in fact produced very few lithographs. (Idbury Prints)
