Marthe Brandès, (1862-1930) was a French actress and became a member of the Comedie-Francaise in 1896. She also played at the Theatre de la Renaissance. By embodying the great love for femmes fatales, she created many roles for Alexandre Dumas, Georges de Porto-Rich and Paul Bourget.
